Audit Support, Financial Review & Due Diligence in Russia | Accountant & Co.
Financial review, tax-risk review, audit preparation and due diligence for businesses in Russia. Advisory scopes from $2,000; statutory audit is treated as a separate regulated engagement.
Accountant & Co. supports companies that need an independent-looking financial review process, audit preparation or due diligence, but this page deliberately distinguishes those advisory services from a statutory audit opinion.
A useful review should answer specific questions: are the reported numbers supported by the ledger and source documents, are material balances reconciled, are there unusual transactions or accounting-policy issues, and what information would an external auditor, investor, lender or buyer likely request next?
Published advisory scopes
| Scope | Typical objective | Starting price |
|---|---|---|
| Financial review | Review financial data, reconciliations and reporting quality | $2,000 |
| Tax-risk review | Identify accounting/tax issues and missing support | $3,500 |
| Financial due diligence | Pre-transaction review of earnings, working capital, debt/cash and key risks | $2,500 |
These prices refer to advisory/review scopes published by Accountant & Co. The exact fee depends on the period, entity structure, availability of records, transaction volume and deadline.
Financial review
A financial review can include:
- trial-balance and ledger analysis;
- reconciliation of bank, receivables, payables and intercompany balances;
- review of unusual or long-outstanding balances;
- review of revenue and expense cut-off;
- analysis of material manual adjustments;
- consistency checks between accounting records and management reporting;
- review of supporting schedules for major balance-sheet items;
- an issues list with priority, evidence status and next action.
The output is normally a findings document and supporting schedules, not an audit opinion.
Audit preparation
If a company is preparing for an external or statutory audit, we can help organize the accounting side before the auditor starts:
- close and reconcile material accounts;
- collect lead schedules and supporting documents;
- explain material movements and manual adjustments;
- prepare intercompany confirmations and reconciliations;
- maintain a request tracker;
- resolve accounting issues that can be corrected before fieldwork;
- hand the auditor a consistent evidence package.
This can reduce time lost to basic document retrieval and unexplained differences.
Financial due diligence
For acquisitions, investments, refinancing or shareholder decisions, the work can focus on:
- quality of earnings and non-recurring items;
- revenue concentration and unusual revenue recognition patterns;
- normalized EBITDA or other agreed performance measures;
- working-capital trends and seasonality;
- debt, cash and debt-like items;
- overdue receivables and payables;
- related-party and intercompany balances;
- tax and accounting issues visible in the data;
- reliability and completeness of the source information.
See the dedicated Financial Due Diligence in Russia page for the transaction-focused workflow.
What this page does not claim
A statutory audit is a regulated engagement and is not the same thing as an internal financial review, audit preparation or due diligence. Where a client requires a statutory audit opinion or another regulated assurance report, the engagement must expressly identify the appropriately authorized audit provider and the applicable professional standards.
Accountant & Co. does not use the phrase “audit services” on this page to imply a statutory-auditor license that is not explicitly stated for the engagement.
Information required to scope a review
Please provide:
- legal entity and reporting period;
- purpose of the review;
- accounting framework and accounting system;
- trial balance and general ledger availability;
- number of entities and locations;
- whether intercompany balances are material;
- available tax registers and reconciliations;
- expected deliverable and deadline;
- whether an external auditor, lender, investor or buyer will use the output.
Source boundary
For current Russian tax requirements, use the Federal Tax Service of Russia as the authoritative public source. For IFRS reporting requirements, use current material from the IFRS Foundation / IASB. A review conclusion must be based on the actual records and period under review, not generic website text.
